Week 4 of the 2024 NFL season saw plenty of drama across its 13 games. From outstanding individual outings to late heroics, fans were treated to action from start to finish.
‘King Henry’ hands Bills first loss of the year:
After an 0-2 start to the season, the Baltimore Ravens are rolling. The Ravens dominated the undefeated Buffalo Bills 35-10 on Sunday, making it back-to-back wins following last week’s victory over the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL.
From the Baltimore Ravens’ first snap of the game against the Buffalo Bills, they led the clash of AFC titans – and it was all thanks to Derrick Henry.
Henry sprinted through the heart of Buffalo’s defense on Baltimore’s first offensive play before galloping away 87 yards for a touchdown.
It was the longest touchdown run in Baltimore’s history but just the third-longest in the storied career of ‘King Henry.’ It was his seventh rushing touchdown of 70 or more yards – tied for the most in NFL history alongside Adrian Peterson and Chris Johnson.
But Henry wasn’t the only Ravens running back with a big game. Justice HIll put together a solid stat line, though most of his production came through the air as he had 78 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Jayden Daniels continues to shine:
It was a Sunday of records and highlights-reel performances in week four of the NFL as Patrick Mahomes celebrated his 100th regular season start with a win, while Jayden Daniels announced himself as a new star of the league.
After a breakout performance last week in the NFL, Jayden Daniels continued his remarkable rookie season with another outstanding showing on Sunday, this time in a comprehensive 42-14 victory against the Arizona Cardinals.
The No. 2 overall draft pick was incredibly accurate once again in Arizona, completing almost 87% of his passes, throwing for 233 yards, one touchdown, and an interception. He also ran for 47 yards and a score.
It’s an easy comparison to make but one that will resonate with Commanders fans: The way the early portion of Daniels’ rookie season is playing out looks a lot like Robert Griffin III 12 years ago.
Griffin was the talk of the NFL, an electrifying dual-threat quarterback who was the No. 2 overall pick of the draft after winning a Heisman Trophy. He came to a last-place team, had the entire NFL world buzzing with his exciting rookie season, and led the Commanders to an NFC East title. The way RG3’s story ended was sad, with an injury in a playoff game-changing his entire career trajectory, but we still remember his thrilling ride to an NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
