While FC Barcelona has been underperforming for the past few years, at the start of this new season the club changed their manager who has looked good in the first 4 matches.
FC Barcelona’s pre-season was not so good:
FC Barcelona did not perform well in the pre-season before the start of the new season. Before the kickoff of the final season, Barcelona played four matches during the pre-season, winning against Manchester City and Real Madrid while losing against Milan and Monaco. Monaco beat Barcelona in the John Champer Trophy.
FC Barcelona Started the season with a good win:
Hansi Flick will have been keen for his new Barcelona side to lay down a marker in their opening La Liga game of the campaign. While that didn’t quite happen, the Blaugrana did manage to start their campaign with a victory as they came from behind to win 2-1 against Valencia off the back of two Robert Lewandowski goals.
FC Barcelona won the second match against Tough Opponents Athletic:
Lamine Yamal got the better of fellow Spain star Nico Williams when Barcelona beat Athletic Bilbao 2-1. Yamal opened the scoring before Robert Lewandowski provided the second goal to give Barcelona two wins in two games to start the Spanish league season.
The Barcelona teenager struck in the 24th minute with a curling shot reminiscent of Lionel Messi’s favorite moves. Yamal controlled a deflected ball and took two touches to skirt along the edge of the box before he found the angle to unleash a left-footed shot. The ball found the net after a deflection on Athletic player Íñigo Lekue.
FC Barcelona comes from behind to beat Rayo Vallecano:
Barcelona pulled off a comeback against Rayo in Vallecas, making it three wins in three games under Hansi Flick, thanks to goals from Pedri and debutant Dani Olmo, who spearheaded the turnaround (1-2).
Dani Olmo’s entry changed the game, with Barcelona’s star signing becoming the key player on his much-anticipated debut. Rayo dominated the first half, with Unai López scoring just nine minutes in, but the second half belonged to Barça.
FC Barcelona smash SEVEN past Real Valladolid:
Barcelona maintained their strong start to the season and hardly broke a sweat to outclass Valladolid on a sunny afternoon at the Montjuic. Hansi Flick’s men dominated possession right from the first whistle and it was a matter of when and not if they would score.
In just 20 minutes, Raphinha opened the scoring for Barcelona, followed by Robert Lewandowski’s goal four minutes later, both assisted by long balls. Barcelona dominated Valladolid, leading 3-0 by halftime with Jules Kounde adding another. Raphinha completed a hat-trick in the second half, and Dani Olmo scored the sixth. Ferran Torres sealed a 7-0 victory.
