The Kylian Mbappe era is here; everyone else should be very afraid. Real Madrid’s new signing got off to a perfect start in white, grabbing a debut goal as Los Blancos beat Europa League winners Atalanta 2-0 in the UEFA Super Cup in Warsaw on Wednesday night.
Highlights of the match:
What Bellingham Said:
When Bellingham was asked by a reporter after the match about Mbappé’s signing, he said, ” The way he played today is unbelievable, he is amazing to play with and he has been a great teammate so far. We just want to enjoy getting to understand each other’s rhythm, and hopefully, assisting and scoring more goals.”
And said about Vinicius, “It’s brilliant playing with him but it’s difficult sometimes. You’ve only got two seconds cause they are both gone. I saw him do the feint and I just thought I’d leave him the area and he finishes like he always does. It’s a joy to see up close.”
Ancelotti’s Mind:
The Englishman was also asked about how he looks to adapt to the new systems that will be employed by Ancelotti following Mbappe’s arrival to the team, to which he said: “I think the coach trusts me to get a feel for positions. I think when it is necessary I can go higher and when I need to I can help with build-up.
“Whatever the coach wants from me, I will do. I don’t know if I am always going to score goals, I don’t know if I am always going to make goals, but hopefully, I will always be involved in helping the team win. That is the most important thing for me.”
Player of the match Jude Bellingham:
Jude Bellingham Drove his team forward in the second half of the UEFA Super Cup final, won tackles, assisted the second goal, and made good forward runs. An excellent use of the ball. Great leadership.
